Kittay House to Celebrate its "Jack Benny" Anniversary
Legendary comedian, Jack Benny, never admitted to being a minute over 39 years old. His "shtick" stuck as he continued to celebrate his 39th birthday 41 times!
Following in his memorable footsteps, Kittay House celebrated its "Jack Benny" milestone on July 24th, the occasion of its very first 39th Anniversary!! Tenants, staff and guests attended a gala evening of festivities.
A specialty anniversary cocktail, The Stingy Violin (in tribute to Mr. Benny) and savory hors d'oeuvres were served. An elegant gala dinner, along with dancing, live music and entertainment made this a truly memorable evening.
"Aren't we all 39 in our hearts?" asks Dr. Laura Singer-Magdoff, a tenant for nearly two years. She is thrilled at the prospect of celebrating the happy occasion with her community of friends at Kittay. "When I look in the mirror it's a different story, but I know one thing for sure, living at Kittay keeps me young!"
