As spring turns to summer I look forward to watching the Kittay gardens bloom and seeing the individuals who make up the Kittay community living their rich and creative lives.

Unlocking the Hearts and Minds of Elders through Poetry
An avenue of expression and even catharsis is at the heart of a poetry workshop series that Kittay House tenants are participating in during the month of May, thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Renowned writer and poet, Steven Sher, will be leading the workshops with volunteers from Poets House, a 50,000-volume poetry library and literary center.
