Gloria Steinem Honors Women's Rights Pioneer and Kittay House Resident, Josephine Hulett
Women's rights pioneer Gloria Steinem came to Kittay House to honor another pioneer during a standing room only event on September 1st.
"There is more heart in this room than I have felt in a long time," exclaimed Ms. Steinem, who came to honor her good friend, Josephine Hulett, one of Kittay House's residents.

Kittay Staffer by Day; Thespian by Night
Sixteen Kittay House folks and Jewish Home Lifecare staff members headed to Theater 3 in New York City to support and cheer Maayan Schneider, a cast member of Measure by Measure, a limited-run, Off-Broadway production of Shakespeare's dark-comedy.
Maayan is one of three marketing managers at Kittay House.
Tenant Arthur Heimlich remarked, "It was wonderful to see Maayan on stage. Her acting was superb!"

The lights are shining brightly during Kittay House's weekly Low Vision Group, formed by inspiring resident Betty Gumanow.
For the past two decades, Betty, who is legally blind, has committed herself to helping others who suffer from vision loss.
