Adult Day Health Programs

Adult Day Health Programs are for people who are physically and/or mentally frail and who want to receive all of their health services in one location.  Most programs offer a range of therapeutic, rehabilitative, and support activities for a few hours a day, one to five days a week, usually during weekdays. Activities may include:

  • nursing
  • rehabilitation
  • assistance with life activities
  • social work services
  • meals in a safe setting

These programs are usually covered by Medicaid.  (Please note, Adult Day Health Programs are different from Adult Day Social Programs.  Read about Adult Day Social Programs.
