Insight for Trustees March 2010 A Tradition of Innovation: Research Rounds
We have implemented Research Rounds, sharing study findings and discussing practice applications, that are offered to Trustees and staff at all five of our locations through videoconference. To date, there have been four sessions held, each attended by 50 to 60 individuals.
To date, the following sessions have been held:
- October 7, 2009 – Leslie Libow, M.D. presented on Parkinson’s Disease and the Aging Brain – Selected Aspects of the Dementia, the Depression and the Genetics.
- November 3, 2009 – Amy Horowitz, DSW and Joann P. Reinhardt, PhD presented on Prevalence and Consequences of Vision Impairment and Depression for Patients in Subacute Rehab.
- December 2, 2009 – Betty Lim, M.D., Eileen Chichin, PhD and Joann P. Reinhardt, PhD presented on Developing a Replicable Model of Nursing Home Palliative Care.
- February 17, 2010 – Cara Unowsky, MA, MBA and Orah Burack, MA presented on The Geriatric Career Development Program: What Have We Learned?
