On March 2nd, a breakfast and book signing event with Francine Russo, journalist and author of “They’re Your Parents Too: How Siblings Can Survive Their Parents’ Aging Without Driving Each Other Crazy,” drew an audience of 48 guests to the Ben Barack Auditorium at the Manhattan Division.

Ms. Russo was an outstanding speaker who gave poignant personal testimony about her relationship with her sister in dealing with their aging parents. She explained how her personal experiences led to writing the book and how widespread a problem it frequently is for siblings to interact in the different caregiving roles some assume and some avoid.
Bruce Nathanson, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communication, welcomed our guests, introduced the speakers and did a great job moderating the program and asking the panelists pertinent questions about the issues Francine raised in her book.
Pat Mulvey, Director, Solutions at Home, and Arlene Richman, Director, Kittay House, did an outstanding job of providing information and answering questions about dealing with families in crisis.
This program will be replicated at Sarah Neuman on Friday, June 4th under the auspices of the Friends of Sarah Neuman.
