Amidst all the events at Jewish Home Lifecare this summer, visits from the Israeli Scouts to all three of our campuses had a special significance.
During their uplifting and inspirational performances, these talented Israeli teens shared their message of hope, peace and friendship through signing, story, and dance. Those twelve members of the Tzofim Summer Delegation (part of the Tzofim Friendship Caravan) dedicated this year’s concert to the 60th Anniversary of Israel as an independent state.
During the show, the scouts interacted with the residents, shaking hands, singing and dancing in the asiles.
The group’s repertoire ranged from upbeat Middle Eastern dance to bitter-sweet Eastern European melodies, embracing the Jewish cultures from all over the world.
The delegation stayed with several families in Westchester, referred to Sarah Neuman by the Westchester Jewish Center.
The group visited Sarah Neuman on July 30th in the afternoon, and then performed for the Manahattan campus in the evening. The scouts visited the Bronx campus on July 29th.
