Jewish Home Lifecare is pleased to present a live satellite broadcast lecture by Pulitzer Prize winner Thomas Freidman on September 14 at 7:30 p.m.. The New York Times foreign-affairs columnist Thomas L. Friedman discusses “Geo-Greenism,” an ambitious national strategy he claims can help to save the planet from overheating, and improve America’s health, wealth, innovation, productivity and security.
Friedman is a three-time Pulitzer Prize winner and the author of From Beirut to Jerusalem; The Lexus and the Olive Tree: Understanding Globalization; Longitudes and Attitudes: Exploring the World after September 11; The World is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century; and now, Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution – And How It Can Renew America.
The lecture, which is open to the public, is part of our regular 92nd Street Y Lecture Series and is made possible by the generous support of The Joan Jacobson 92nd Street Y Satellite Program Fund of the Jewish Home & Hospital Foundation.
The broadcast will be shown in the Auditorium of our Manhattan campus, at 120 West 106th Street. Refreshments will be served.
