In her current role, she performs outreach within the community, helping to connect New York elders with the services offered in Jewish Home’s Adult Day, Home Care and Senior Housing programs. Jewish Home Lifecare’s Adult Day Care programs are a life-enhancing alternative for elders who otherwise would not have the opportunity to take part in social activities because of medical conditions. Our Home Health Care program provides quality, long-term care to homebound adults who have difficulty with activities of daily living. We offer a variety of affordable housing options for older individuals in the New York metropolitan area, where elders can live independently while enjoying the security of having healthcare professionals on the premises and easy access to supportive services. As liaison, Laura plays a critical role ensuring elders in the community get the help they need.

Before stepping into this role, Ms. Radensky worked as Associate Director of Social Work. Previously, she had been a home care social worker and then a social work supervisor.

As Associate Director of Social Work, she provided consultation regarding social work services and implemented an Elder Abuse Program specifically geared for community-based staff.

Ms. Radensky was recently honored at Manhattan Media’s 2008 Westy Awards. The Westys recognize Upper West Side residents for outstanding contributions to the community. Also recognized at the awards were Jewish Home Trustee John Engel, and Deirdre Downes, Jewish Home Lifecare’s Director of Social Work.
