Phyllis Erlbaum-Zur was recognized with the 2008 Association of Jewish Aging Services (AJAS) Professional Award on March 23rd. Erlbaum-Zur is the Director of Admissions and Discharge Services at the Bronx Division of Jewish Home Lifecare. She received the award at the AJAS Annual Conference Awards Ceremony dinner in Washington, DC.

AJAS is an association of not-for-profit community-based organizations, rooted in Jewish values, which promotes and supports the delivery of services to an aging population.  The organization functions as the central coordinator for homes and residential facilities for Jewish elderly in North America. The AJAS membership is comprised of over 125 Jewish-sponsored nursing homes, housing communities, and outreach programs throughout the United States and Canada.
