Kittay House Senior Housing Tenant Honored for 60 Years as a Mason
Jerry Siskin is Pinned in a Special Ceremony
Kittay House was the site of a fascinating ceremony on Wednesday, February 9 as Jerry Siskin was pinned for his 60 years as a member of the Masonic Order. Jon R. Pufahl, the Worshipful Master of his lodge, Lodge Arcana #246 in Manhattan, led the ceremony attended by a group of Jerry’s friends, including Sam Baum, Jesse North, who are both fellow Kittay residents and Masons.
“It means a lot in the Masonic order having made all these friends and relationships for 60 years as a Mason. When I had surgery at the VA in Manhattan, the Phillipino nurses there recognized my Masonic ring and made sure it was protected for me during the surgery,” Siskin said.
The ceremony and refreshments were enjoyed by all.
