New Hemodialysis Center Opens on Bronx Campus

Jewish Home Lifecare continues to provide new and innovative services for the elderly in the Bronx.
Jewish Home Lifecare’s Bronx Division on West Kingsbridge Road announces the opening of a state of the art 15-station Hemodialysis Special Therapy Center that provides for stretcher dialysis, as well as a dedicated room for special clinical cases.

Jewish Home Lifecare’s Bronx Division on West Kingsbridge Road announces the opening of a state of the art 15-station Hemodialysis Special Therapy Center  that provides for stretcher dialysis, as well as a dedicated room for special clinical cases.

The center is operated by Bronx Nephro Care, Inc of New York and is designed to eliminate travel time and, therefore, ease the burden of dialysis.  The service is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance.

The center will serve as an on site resource for nursing home residents and short-term rehabilitation patients and as resource for  individuals with renal disease.

Hemodialysis Special Therapy Center

Semipermeable_membraneThe Hemodialysis  Special Therapy Center has 15 stations.

The Center is operated by Bronx River Nephro Care Inc.of  New York and is designed to eliminate travel time and, therefore, ease the burden of dialysis. The center also provides stretcher hemodialysis as well as a dedicated room for special clinical cases.

This service is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance.

The Care Team:

In accordance with regulations established by the New York State Department of Health, the on-site interdisciplinary team of health professionals include:

Jinal Yoo, MD, President and Medical Director, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Geriatric Medicine;, specialist in kidney diseases and hypertension; listed in “Best Doctors” by New York Magazine, Castle Connolly Guide etc

Rose Medina, CEO, master’s degree in Health Care Administration with a certification in Gerontology Administration from New School for Social Research

  • Two attending Nephrologists and a Nurse Practitioner
  • Nurse Manager
  • Renal Social Worker
  • Certified Hemodialysis Patient Care Technicians
  • Experienced Renal Nurses on duty 12 hours a day, six days a week
  • Dietitian works with patients and families to monitor nutritional needs
