Kosher Food

Nursing home and short-stay rehabilitation patients can now enjoy restaurant-quality Kosher food at Jewish Home Lifecare's Manhattan campus.

Kosher Food

Jewish Home Lifecare’s Manhattan campus has recently introduced restaurant-quality Kosher food to better address the dietary needs of observant clients and their families.

The new Kosher menu features an array of hot and cold (meat, dairy and vegetarian) main entrees, each complemented by a side dish and dessert, as well as an entrée alternative at each meal. All inclusive lunch boxes are also available. The food, which is provided by Fresko Kosher Foods is certified by the Star-K and delivered fresh to  Jewish Home Lifecare’s Manhattan campus  six days a week.

The menu offers Kosher observant residents greater variety as well as gourmet meal options that range from grilled chicken wraps and tuna sandwiches to internationally-themed dishes.  Sample items include:
• Herb encrusted chicken
• Pesto pasta with fresh mozzarella
• Asian sesame noodles
• Stuffed cabbage
• Spinach potato bourekas
• Cheese ravioli
All meals are prepared fresh and use the finest, seasonal ingredients.

Kosher meals are available at no extra cost and clients can sign up easily by talking to their community coordinator.
