Elders Connected with Computer Connections Program

Residents at the Sarah Neuman Center have the World Wide Web at their fingertips, thanks to the Rita Hochberg Computer Connections Program.

The program, made possible by a generous gift from Trustee Jonathan Hochberg, provides computer training and assistance for residents at the Westchester campus, some of whom are now using a computer for the first time in their lives. With the guidance of program staff, they learn to send and retrieve email, exchange photos and videos, and surf the internet. Residents are thrilled to use this life-enhancing technology to connect with loved ones, especially their web-savvy grandchildren. For elders who are unable to use the keyboard or mouse, the computers are equipped with touch-screens.
