The Swallowing Disorders/Dysphagia Center provides special therapies to improve swallowing and speech capabilities impaired by serious illnesses, such as stroke.
A multidisciplinary team headed by a specially trained and board recognized speech/language pathologist diagnoses and treats patients.
The Swallowing Disorders/Dysphagia Center utilizes state-of-the art videofluoroscopy and, in the Bronx, fiberoptic endoscopy techniques, to diagnose and help treat those suffering from dysphagia, an often undiagnosed and untreated condition.
