2008 marked the 30th anniversary of National Grandparents Day.
The Day’s purpose is to honor grandparents and to encourage bonds between grandchildren and grandparents. The
holiday draws compassionate attention to the eldest of society’s elders and helps children tap into the wisdom and heritage that their grandparents can offer.
This year, Grandparents Day celebrations at all three Jewish Home Lifecare campuses brought out hundreds of family members and friends. Party guests and elders enjoyed music, games, food, clowns, magicians and absolutely beautiful weather.
It was a great opportunity for generations to mix and mingle.
