High Holy Days at Jewish Home Lifecare

On the days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Simchat Torah there will be religious services and related events at our Manhattan, Bronx, and Westchester campuses and at Kittay House.

In Manhattan

All  services take place in the Auditorium.

Yom Kippur

• Wednesday, October 8 at 3:30-4:30 pm
• Thursday, October 9 at 10:15-11:30am and 3:30-4:30 pm

Sukkot

• Tuesday, October 14 at 10:15-11:30 am

Shmini Atzeret/ Simchat Torah

• Tuesday, October 21 at 2-3:30 pm

In the Bronx

Rosh Hashanah

• Monday September 29 at 2:30 pm in the Greenwall Auditorium.
• Tuesday, September 30 at 10:30 am in the Greenwall Auditorium.
• Wednesday, October 1, at 10:30 am in the Salzman Galleria.

Yom Kippur
For Yom Kippur, all services will take place in the Salzman Galleria.

• Wednesday, October 8 at 2:30 pm.
  Kol Nidre will begin with a live violin and piano performance of the Bruch Kol Nidre.
• On October 9 at 10:30 am, including Yizkor Memorial Service.
• On October 9 at 2:30 pm, including selections from Ne’ila and a study of parts of the book of Jonah. The services will then close with Havdalah.

Sukkot

• Tuesday, October 14 at 10:30 am, in the Salzman Galleria.

Simchat Torah

• Tuesday, October 21 at 10:30 am with Yizkor Memorial Service.
• Wednesday, October 22 at 2:30 pm, in the Salzman Galleria. Celebrate with a Klezmer and Jazz Concert that highlights Jewish Jazz composers. As in previous years, this will be a lively event with excellent music!

In Westchester

All  services take place in the Tisch Auditorium except as noted.

Erev Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah

Kol Nidre 

• Wednesday. October 8 at 3:30 pm

A Book of Jonah discussion will take place at 2:00 pm

Sukkot
Our Sukkah will be in the Winter Garden. Please join us any time during the festival of Sukkot for refreshments Tuesday, October 14 through Monday, October 20.

Simchat Torah  

• Tuesday, October 21 at 10:30 am in Auditorium
• Also Tuesday, October 21 in Main 2 at 2:00 pm

At Kittay House
